The (800) I-AM-LOST hotline is for parents who wish to report their children as missing. Child Find disseminates photos of missing children nationwide and works with the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), local law enforcement agencies, and State missing children clearinghouses to attempt to locate children. The (800) A-WAY-OUT hotline is for parents who have thought about abducting their own child. Hotline staff offer them counseling about the consequences of, and alternatives to, parental abduction.
